Post subject: Number Transfer Question
i am a current
Vonage
customer and am helping my Mom get setup on it. She has a phone number, fax number and toll-free number that needs to be transferred. I have checked the
Vonage
site and her phone and fax numbers are transferrable.
She has spoken with her current provider and they said that they would release her numbers immediately so she wouldn't have to wait 4 weeks for it to happen. She has a contact there that will expedite after she notifies them.
Here are my questions:
1. According to
Vonage
's website, they say that it takes 20 working days because the current provider doesn't have to release the number immediately. If this is true, then as long as the provider will release it, then they should be able to transfer the numbers quickly right?
2. Hopefully, if #1 is correct, then that would take care of her phone and fax numbers. But what about the toll-free number. She gets it through the same provider so would they release the toll-free number as well and would
Vonage
be able to use it?
Thanks in advance for the help.
