I switched a few weeks ago to the WRTP54G wifi Vonage router, and ever since I did, I've had a horrible time with dead air.
Almost every call, the other person can't hear me at some point and I have to hang up and call back.
I did NOT have this problem with the provided WiFi router that Vonage sent me - Vonage was quite reliable for me, in fact.
I am on the 1.00.37 firmware, too.
Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a workaround? |

Update...
I had Vonage re-instate my old hardware, and STILL got the problem...
I started to suspect my Comcast cablemodem, so I increased my bandwidth package. That cost me an extra $10/mo, but the upstream bandwidth is doubled.
Since doing that, it has been fine. I'll report in a few days if it holds. |
