Outbound voice is very choppy. So much so that if I cant fix it then I am going to cancel it. testyourVoIP.com results. My bandwidth constantly tests at 3000/350. Setup- Comcast Cable->Motorola 585100->Linksys Rt31P2->Phone and Comp. I have enabled Voice Qos on the Linksys and played around with the kb/s but all settings are bad. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks |

looks like a crappy connection. I don't think calling comcast will do anything, but you can try it. also, log into your modem at http://192.168.100.1 and post your signal levels, etc. |

I've been having similar issues for almost 2 months now. I have multiple Vonage accounts and multiple internet connections. All Comcast. 6mb/512k and 8mb/768k. I've tried both lines, same problems. (See my other posts for cable signal levels.) The problem doesn't happen when I call other Vonage lines, just to/from the POTS network. This happened last year and ended up being a telco switch in Chicago for the handoff to the POTS network. Very frustrating indeed. I've been a business and residential customer for 2 years, and for the most part the service has been great. If it doesn't get better soon, I too may have to abandon their service. |
