I spent about 3 hours on the phone with Vonage support last week, getting my new Linksys WRTP54G back up and running after the internet component mysteriously stopped working. After 2.5 hours I finally was connected with someone who actually was a help (Sorry, I don't know his name). He sent me the version 1.00.29 firmware, which worked great. Now, though, version 1.00.37 slops everything up (no internet once again). So, every time it automatically updates, I have to go in and manually revert to the 1.00.29 version.
Is it possible to disable the firmware auto-update? |

Are you using another router with it? if so, block port 69...
Using only the WRTP54G? Forward port 69 to a non-existant IP... Port 69 is TFTP, which is how I believe Vonage updates these routers. Maybe someone with more knowledge about these routers could add to this. |

No, I'm not using another router with it. I'll give the port forwarding a shot.
Thank you very much for your help! |
