Post subject: Vonage can't port their own numbers?
I transferred my
Vonage
number to another
Voip
carrier with lower prices. Now that I need a second line (a service not offered by the other carrier), I want to port it back. However, the web site says my number is not eligible for LNP.
How can it be that
Vonage
isn't capable of porting a number that was theirs to begin with?

Tak eit from a
Vonage
expert, this mean you phone number was never removed from the
Vonage
database in the first place, the account ,ay have bee n cancelled but your number is still in their pool , so when you try to transfer back it wont allow you because the system sees someone else has that number and its in the
Vonage
system. Have
Vonage
remove the number from the database, you will then be able to transfer it back
