After waiting over 3 months to transfer my number from my old carrier, I finally had service for about three hours. Now, I pick up the phone and get nothing - dead air. Linksys WRT54GP2; cable internet service. The Linksys status page says:
Registration Status: xxx-xxx-xxx 1xxxxxxxxxx Online Call1 Status: Invalid Call2 Status: Idle I called Vonage support twice and they ran me through a barrage of things - both techs got it to work. But as soon as I made a change to the WRT54GP2 device, and it rebooted, this happened again. When you call the number from outside, you go immediately to voicemail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks. |

It appears that your phone is in port#2 . Is there a reason why port#2 and not port#1? |

That behavior is similar to what happens when you leave a phone off the hook for a long time. If you haven't already, try plugging a single phone directly into the box, and see if that changes anything. |

ditto. it seems as if you have your phone line plugged into port 2. Your phone number is located on port 1 being that you have just one line and a virtual number with a 602 area code. Your device is hitting the network properly, just seems to be that you're in the incorrect port. |

I see no evidence that his phone is connected to port 2.
Although, having a tech switch you over to port 2 might not be a bad idea, if my first suggestion fails. |
