As I mentioned above, I'm not currently with vonage.. but with another Voip provider.
If anyone wants to sell me their VT1000 or VT1005 terminal please let me know...We could negociate a price + shipping which I'll pay by paypal.

djino, I'll save you some time... The Vonage VT1005's are locked to Vonage. There may be a way to unlock them, but I'm not aware of any. If you can bring your own adapter to your other provider, then get ahold of a Sipura adapter. VERY configurable and widely available. |

Well I spoke to my Voip provider here in Canada, and they guy said they'd have no problems with activating Vonage adaptors. But obviously before purchasing one from someone from Vonage, I'd have to get the MAC Address/Customer Serial Number and verify that with my service provider.

Call them back and ask them if they've ever TRIED activating a Vonage adapter. As VonageTPA said already, they're LOCKED to Vonage. Your provider will not have the ability to get to the provisioning interface to provision and activate the adapter, they - and you - are locked out. |
