Post subject: Can incoming calls in UK ring like UK phones
I wondered if
Vonage
can change the ring so that when an incoming call comes in it rings like a normal uk phone ie brr-brr brr-brr and not the US style brrrrrrrrr- - - - - -brrrrrrrrr.
Also instead of having to dial *67 if you want to withhold your number for a particular call, wouldn't it be better to have it as 141 like we're used to.
Vonage
use the 1471 facility which is uk standard so why not use 141 instead of *67.
Operator services on 100 should be FREE and not charged as a Directory Enquiry call.
A better range of call barring options would be appropriate. I.e barring outgoing mobile calls/premium rate 0870 etc (at least until inclusive mobile calls are included in the rate plan.
Choice of telephone number in the area code when choosing additional line or on signing up etc, not the next one in sequence. By all means make gold numbers chargeable if people want that, but at least a few choices that are not neccessarily consecutive.
For example it seems like they're being allocated one by one eg
(01999) 511110 (01999) 511111 (01999) 511112
A choice like (01999) 511555 (01999) 511746 (01999) 511318
(01999) 511906 (01999) 511511** GOLD **
Would be good so you could choose a number yourself, a £5.99 change number fee at present would probably change an existing number of for example (01111) 410317 to (01111) 410318 not really worth it if it's just going to give you the next number in the sequence.
