how much traffic can the motorola ata handle? upload and download?

Just a guess but I would say 90 Kbps would be the max since in the bandwidth configuration page you can set it from 30-90Kbps.

Just the right amount to transport speech... It's not like your passing attachments or anything Lol

I believe he's refering to total router capacity. 90kbps up/down is the voip bandwidth requirement for toll quality voice (G.711). The vt1000 can support upto 100Mbps full-duplex (it autosenses) on both the WAN and LAN port.

Of course this is the maximum bw and doesn't reflect router throughput. The real limitation is the speed of your internet connection.

The real limitation is how many packets can it process before it locks up.
