i was just reading through the manual for my new TRU8860 handset and it has a section about deluxe call waiting features. does Vonage offer deluxe call waiting?

ok heres an excerpt from the manual:
"Your phone gives you new optiosn for call waiting. At the touch of a button, you can place the caller on hold, send them to yoru voice mail service, or conference them into your current call. You must subscribe to Call Waitign and Call Waiting Deluxe to use these features. Not all features are available in all areas. Check with your local telephoen company for details...
Your Phone is pre-programmed with seven call waiting option. You can select to ask the calling party to hold, send them to a busy message, forward them to your voice mail, or answer and drop the first caller. You can also select to conference them into the current call or, at any time, choose to drop the first or drop the last caller. Check with your localtelephoen company for a full list of options."

so i guess thats what i am lookign for is a full list of optiosn from Vonage, if they even offer the call waiting deluxe service.

Vonage does not offer the "Call Waiting Deluxe" features you mentioned. It is standard Cal Waiting - hear the beep, look at the Caller ID if available. If you want to take the call, flash the switchook, if you don't want to take the call, ignore the CW tone and let call go to voicemail. That's it.

damn - that would have been pretty cool. oh well - still cant complain - Vonage definitely has more features than verizon fro about half the price. woo hoo.

I know I used to be able to get that service through SWB, but not the actual phone...I did not know phones now have that built in...Sweet stuff!

I've been waiting for this to be supported, but as far as I know, no Voip provider offers CWDX yet. The first one to do it will probably get my money and a number transfer from Vonage.
