I know how to get to the QoS tab, no problem. But reading the cryptic Linksys instructions has gotten me nowhere. |

there are probably a thousand posts on this, including at least one yesterday. good for looking at the help section (I see you learned that lesson after posting then actually looking and finding the answer yourself), but when that fails, you should search the forum. personally I don't think there is an answer, but the majority of posts will say 80-90% of your theoretical upload bandwidth, or whatever you seem to be getting on a wide variety of speed tests.
actually, there were at least two yesterday. here's one of them. http://www.vonage-forum.com/ftopic4187-20.html |

I'm one step ahead of you. I searched the entire forum, plus the entire help section on Vonage.com. Nowhere do I find idiot-proof directions on precisely how to enable QoS on the RT31P2.
Thanks anyway! |

Short Way: Just check "Enable" next to Voice QoS, and put your available upload speed in the "QoS upstream rate" box.
Longer way, for advanced users: You might be able to put a slightly larger number in the box to get a little extra speed while you're on the phone, but nobody really knows for sure how much larger. |

Yep...thats what I did. Just clicked enable on the voice qos at the bottom of the QoS page and placed 384 in the kb/s box. Works great...notice no slowdown when surfing the internet and someone is on the telephone. |
