Has anyone had a problem with making calls. Seems that I have to make 2 calls when I call someone because the first one has a really bad connection. This is either a buzz or low audio.
Thanks

Hey there Whalers... Could you tell us how you have your system set up ie modem to router to PC, etc.. Also could you go to www.testyourvoip.com, and do a test call to Boston, then post the DETAILED results here?
Thanks! |

I come out of my Toshiba cable modem into my Vonage router RT31P2 and out to my computer and phone. I'm using a Uniden phone (base 2 plus 3 handsets). This just started happening about a week ago and is intermittent.

Try upgrading the cable modem. The PCX1100 is pretty old. Try getting a PCX2600 or a Motorola SB5100. |

Thanks. I assume this may address some echo problems as well. |
