I recently moved out of my old house where i thoroughly enjoyed FIOS for 4 months.
I am currently waiting for my new house to be finished in the next week or so. I know that FIOS is in that neighborhood.
What I am wanting to know, as a new customer to Manage, Has anyone successfully wired their house with FIOS and can use their phone jacks throughout the their house. I have been reading this forum for the past few days trying to find that answer.
It seems to me that from reading the tutorials, all I really have to do is plug my linksys phone adapter into the FIOS phone line box and it should work. OR is it that since my house will not have any sort of outside connection, that i can start using my Vonage via the phone jacks right away?
Any help would be appreciated |

Does anyone use Vonage and FIOS and have their phones running on their regular house phone jacks?
I really need some advice about this |

Which part? The wiring etc? Could you be a bit more specific? |

I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work. Just make sure that your inside phone lines are all connected to each other, and disconnected from the ONT. Then connect the Vonage box to one of your existing jacks.
As long as the phone lines aren't connected to anything outside, it doesn't really matter what kind of Internet connection you've got. |

With FIOS there is no ONT, unless you count the main FIOS box on the outside, that is why i am asking to see if anyone has successfully got their Vonage installed in their entire house
I re-orderd FIOS without phone service so i dont think it will be a problem, just trying to get some feedback |

The ONT is the optical network terminal, which is the fios box on the outside. I assume that somewhere in there, there's a place to connect a copper phone line... make sure it's disconnected, even if you didn't request phone service. |

ahh man i am stupid, you're correct, i thought you were talking about the regular box for copper. Sorry about that
The ONT has the place to plug in 4 lines, the cable tv(future) and the ISP or internet service. I would presume that all i do is make sure that no phone lines are plugged into that and I am good to go.
That is why i was checking with other FIOS users to make sure that is what the correct setup is
thanks for the info
