Hi,
I just signed up for Vonage service for my parents. They are
absolute non-techies and are apprehensive about this too. They
have no computer and don't want to use one, so I basically signed
them up for DSL and then want to connect a PAP2 directly to the modem. It's the cheapest plan, so there's no static IP address (i.e. address is dynamically assigned). Will this setup work? Has anyone else tried this and had problems?
Do I have to put a router or some other NAT box between the DSL modem and the PAP2? I tried an experiment with a PAP2 and a cable modem and it didn't really work - the power light just flashed in sets of 3 (i.e. 3 flashes, then puse, then 3 flashes and so on). Is there something else I need to do?
Thanks for any advice and assistance.

Ben, your setup should work.
DSL Modem ---> Vonage Box <--- Phone
