Post subject: Phone number question
I would like to try
Vonage
with a number that they give to me, and as long as all goes well, I wanted to transfer my regular telephone number and connect the
Vonage
to the inside wiring. Is there any problem with using a phone number that they provide temporarily and then changing? Would there be an additional charge for that?
Thanks
reebok

it used to be that if you don't sign up for lnp when you sign up for
Vonage
, you will be charged if you want to do it later. this may have changed, but you should check out the lnp forum for more info.

I just called customer service at
Vonage
and they told me it would be a $10 transfer fee to switch to my regular number at a later date. That doesn't seem too bad in comparison to how much it might be to switch back to my regular carrier if there was a problem with the
Vonage
. I am going to use the
Vonage
provided number for 90 days and see how it goes.
