Basically I've got a pretty old broadband router that is starting to show it's age and will die soon. So I'm going to replace it. I've been a Vonage user for 2 years now and have the old Cisco 186 box.
So I'm looking at various routers and see the Linksys WRTP54G which has Vonage build into it. Now I know I probably can't get the rebates but my question is this: Since I'm already a Vonage customer, can I hook this think up, get rid of the cisco and it will detect my account and I can start using it instead?
Same question would be if I get the Linksys WRT54G and the PAP2. Can I just replace my cicso with the PAP2 and be up and running?
And I guess which combination would you guys recommend? I like the idea of the all-in one solution of the WRTP54G and I see the latest firmware as of this week seems to solve many of the problems it had. But if it's not good then I don't want it!

Yes, but you will have to call CS and give them the MAC address of the new device.

Like most people here, I would recommend that you get a WRT54G, conect it to your broadband modem, get a separate Vonage device, and connect that to the WRT54G.
