Should I be concerned about this new U.S. Supreme Court ruling?
I love my
Vonage
service and don't want to loose it to some cable company.

If your cable company was to block
Vonage
you could always switch to a different ISP that didn't block
Vonage
.
Our ISP offers its own
Voip
(for about $10 more though) service so they may be considering blocking
Vonage
, but another cable in our area doesn't offer
Voip
services so they will probably not block ports letting me switch if need be. This may keep our ISP from blocking ports

The problem is that cable ISP providers (like Comcast) have a monopoly contract in my area and there are no other service providers...this one definitely needs to be watched closely as I know that Comcast is getting ready to release their
Voip
phone in my area at a higher cost than Vonage...

This is very scary, I think! My cable company (Insight Communications) is going to be adding there phone service to my area soon also. This is just another way to control and make people use the cable companies crap.
