Quite possible. For me, I leave BT up 24/7. I tend to seed for a long time with more popular files, and at least seed more than I take on everything else, so files can be up for days to several weeks on my connection.
To be fair to Vonage, I've never had a router that's done well with BitTorrent, due to the massive number of connections BT makes. Even the default Linksys firmware has problems with this, though not as bad as the customized Vonage stuff does. With aftermarket firmware on my WRT54GL, though... Whoosh!

My only other experience with a consumer-grade router was my BEFW11S4 v2, which I traded in for the Vonage rebate with their "G for free" promotion. I'd say the router portion of the WRTP54G is pretty equivalent, except for being G instead of B, of course.

Post subject: Thanks to all of you...
I love this forum. I just saved untold hours of being on the phone with Vonage trying to fix a known problem. I've had to work from home today and lo-and-behold, I tried to use VPN. Shazamm, nothing works. IT is mystified (clueless and not caring). What the heck, I put my Belkin wireless router back into the network - now I have VPN.
Now I know there will be glitches here and there with any new technology, but Vonage and people who know computers understand the general basis of VOIP and the importance of have QoS support. So, I was overjoyed when the <insert ominous sound> WRTP54G was offered. It claims QoS support. I just checked the spec sheet - still there. And yet, post after post indicates that the only way to fix the 54G is to put a hackable router in front of it. I'm running out of wall plugs for my power strips for all the wall warts I have.
It is February/2006, and these posts date back to mid 2005! They are still selling product *that* *does* *not* *work*. Vonage, all I ask is for you to not waste my time, and do not misrepresent your product, both of which you continue to do.
Mistakes happen. Continuous mistakes are another matter.

Post subject: latest firmware version?
Can anyone post what the latest WRTP54G firmware version is?
I see many posts of 1.00.30, I'm at 1.00.60 which would imply close to the latest, but I don't know what the latest is.

Dave,
Sorry, I was ambiguous. I'm not upseet with you, but with Vonage.
I am sick to death of ordering something then finding out after the fact that some bozo company has been having on going problems for a long time.
So, the fact that you tell me I have the latest is the disappointing part - I have no upgrade options.
But I *do* appreciate your response.

Yeah, just think about all those cars people buy with documented problems and recalls. Many are repeats of previos years. Bozos. Oh yeah, don't forget about HP and Dell, with their laptop batteries overheating. Only has been about 3 years. Bozos.
The point is that every company trying new things has issues, and they won't all be fixed at once. If you can't afford to have a few issues once in awhile, stick to something safe, like POTS.
