When you're entering the MAC address, be sure to use capital letters. Somebody reported that the fields are case sensitive.
Not sure about fixing that WRTP54G though... I guess you can wait for a new firmware.

I just spent 3.5 hrs with tech support this weekend. The first tech support person tried to upgrade me to 1.00.37 According to him he told me that the update was successful, even though my unit was displaying 1.00.20 (which was the version my router came with). This did absolutely nothing to fix my problems, so I called back and spoke / screamed with another tech support person, who then pushed 1.00.29 to me. All of my problems are gone. Vonage however will be in for a rude awakening if / when they push bad firmware upgrades to peoples equip. and there routers start to fail. Linksys is getting draged through the mud on this deal as far as I'm concerned, and this would keep me from buying another linksys product, and recommending vonage.

Well I spoke too soon. My WRTP54G ver. 1.00.29 developed the same problem overnight. (One way audio on outgoing calls). Did a little research and found that most one-way audio problems with VoIP happen because of NAT. Did a bit of testing and found sure enough that if I disable NAT on router the problem went away. Enabled NAT and problem reappeared. Have some other ideas but at least I should be able to call tech support.

dspitler,
Do you DMZ enabled? If so, disable the DMZ and try it again see if one-way voice goes away.

This poll would be a lot more realistic if it had a N/A option. I don't have the router, but I had to vote before it would let me see the results.

Post subject: Where are these magical firmware/patches/updates?
Quote:
Mine is 1.00.37 but when it was still 1.00.29 I spent about 45 minutes patching with the Vonage technical guru. It updated to 1.00.37 automatically. I have no issues whatsoever at this time. (Knock on wood!)
I wish someone could tell me how to find these magical firmware/patches/updates. Everybody dances around talking about them, but I have only found one firware upgrade. When I do it, I get a "Failed CRC" error. I have tried everything but standing on my head to get it to work. Do I need to update from 1.00.20 to .29 before I try going to .37? I read about some users' routers automatically updating themselves? Did this start with version .29?
