I had one of my two landlines moved to Vonage back in December. A couple of months later I noticed that Verizon was still billing me for having two lines with them. When I called Verizon they told me Vonage had done an incomplete number transfer and that I should contact them.
Vonage emailed me a PON number to pass on to Verizon. Verizon, however, would not accept that number directly from me, so Vonage set up a 3 way call in order to give Verizon the number. Verizon still wouldn't accept it and now wanted Vonage to send them a Supplemental Change Request.
Vonage either does not know how to do this or are unwilling to do it. I have emailed them several times and get the same, more or less, canned answers. I've asked for the case to be handed over to a supervisor, but so far that request has been ignored.
To top everything off, I called Verizon last week for a last ditch effort and was told that Vonage needed to contact something called the National Open Market Center. This I also passed along to Vonage, but they never replied to my email.
I guess my next step is to file a complaint with my Public Utilities Commision and/or the FCC. |

Quick question, If someone calls the number that you moved to Vonage does it ring through on the Vonage system or are you still waiting for the change. I ask because you stated that "a couple of months later you were still being charged for 2 lines" so I read that as the line has been ported to Vonage and this is a billing issue. So if your line was ported over and is working with Vonage I can't see how Verizon says Vonage did an incomplete transfer. I would think that if the paperwork was not correct Verizon would not have transferred the line at all. If the transfer went through how could Verizon say it was an incomplete transfer. This almost sounds like the transfer was incomplete on Verizons end not Vonage. Sounds like Verizons transfer department forgot to tell Verizons billing dept. |

Sounds to me like Verizon is screwing you. I'd dump them and go totaly Vonage. |
