OK guys, I need some real help here. I just purchased a Pap2 phone adapter, which I hooked to my Linksys NR041 4 port router, which is also hooked to my computer, and roadrunner broadband service. As I am posting here, the computer gets online fine, not the PAp2. The ethernet and power light are on, but not Phone 1. I tried the standard test in the Vonage lit, IE dialed 80# and hung up. Unplugged everything and replugged it up, and nothing. Up until this point, I had dial tone, but received a fast busy when ever I tried to dial. I went into my router set up, into port forwarding, and set up ports 5060-5061 UDP, and 10000-20000 UDP, but it gave me a conflict message for ports 53 and 69, which I found out were preset on my router for DNS and TFTP. I enabled these, cannot find a way to change them, but do not know if they are for the phone or not. I dis-abled DHCP on the phone and set a static IP, still nothing, then decided to dis-able DHCP on the router as the modem should be the only one assigning address, right? I tried two different phones, and three different phone lines, but the light still will not light up, and now after all these changes, and untold resettings, I have lost the dialtone I once had. I only have spotty cell service here right now as we just moved, and I planned to us Vonage as my main phone, so calls to CS keep getting dropped, and my e-mails have yet to be answered, so any help / ideas would be greatly appreciated. Let me know if you need anymore info, I tried to be complete there, and am down to the BF Hammer option. Thanks

have you tried connecting the pap2 directly to the modem just to see if it will work? you shouldn't have to forward any ports, but putting it in the dmz would be an easier option if you want to try.
also, I assume you went to vonage.com/activate to activate the device.

Hey Reebok, Happy 4th. I had the device activated at the store. I tried plugging it in directly to the modem, and the ethernet light just kept blinking for over an hour. On a whim, I decided to try a factory reset, putting into the voice menu 73738. After that, the light blinked for about 20 more minutes, then suddenly, I had phone and it worked!! I put everything back the way it should be, no phone, and no internet for the computer. At this point it was pretty obvious that the router was some how causing the problem, so I reset that, still no internet, but the lights were lit as if I did, and my local area connection said I was connected and good to go, so I removed it and reinstalled, nothing. Finally I went into system restore, and restored to a point three days ago, after restart, I had internet and I had phone, and honestly have no clue as to how it happened or what I did to fix whatever problem I had, but thanks for your help, I totally believe that plugging the phone adapter directly into the modem started the process of fixing this, Thanks a bunch, Very Happy
