The forum user registration signup page incorrectly rejects email addresses that contain a plus sign in them. Many email services, such as Gmail, allow you to add arbitrary +WHATEVER_YOU_WANT suffixes to your username, for example user foo@gmail.com will also receive messages to foo+bar@gmail.com, foo+fooyou@gmail.com, etc. These are especially convenient to use in conjunction with automatic mailbox filters / labels / forwarding. There's no reason the "+" sign should be rejected by the sign-up page as an invalid username character.
Once signed up you can change your username in the account settings screen to include a plus, and it will allow the change without complaint. |

Another bug is that email messages sent to a user with + in their email address end up with a blank To: field in the headers. Which defeats filtering and the purpose of specifying a + address extension. |

The first issue I can correct, and I will. The second will be difficult, but I will look into it. |
