Post subject: Verizon Naked DSL Question
Hi, I have inquired to Verizon about "Dry Loop" or Naked DSL and I live in the Dallas/FtWorth area and they have said I do qualify for this.
However, you guys didn't mention of any downtime for your ADSL connection during this time or services on any of your posts. However, i have been reading in (non-vonage) forums that others from Verizon have experienced downtime for phone service (landline) and ADSL during the switch of up to 1 month.
Did you guys have any downtime or experiences like this? It took me nearly 3 days just to switch my main DSL line to my other main billing number since i have 2 lines and want to even add a 2nd line for my main billing number over to
Vonage
. If dryloop (naked dsl) doesnt have any downtime I and considering switching to that. Also what is the cost involved for dryloop + ADSL services conbimed after removing phone service if any of you guys know?
I also have MSN, AIM, Yahoo for IM chat since i really need to talk with someone that uses Verizon for their ADSL and experiences about this. Simply Verizon has not been helpful during any questions!
