Has anyone had trouble using the Vonage service while running Norton Internet Secruity?

I will have service (phone and internet) working well for about 10 hours, then something happens. After this 'something' happens I can no longer get to the internet, and the phone doesn't have a dial tone.

If I reboot the motorola ata everything works normally again, but after 10 hours it stops working again. The main problem is that I do not know the service is down until I try and make a call and notice there isn't a dialtone. In the time it is down, no one can call the number.

If you have any suggestions or ideas please let me know.

I'm relatively new to this, but I have Norton Internet Security 2003 running on my PC's and have not encountered any problems that I believe are related to it.

I did have instability similar to yours while I had my Vonage/Motorola unit hooked up directly to the cable modem, but have enjoyed very stable performance since I moved it behind my router on Tuesday morning.

i had the same problem with needing to reboot the vt-1000. what is your set up? Do you have alot of traffic going thru the vt-1000 (ul/dl)? I have found that this router just can not handle high traffic.

My setup is pretty straightforward, and as I said earlier, since I moved the VT1000 behind the router (almost 4 days ago), it's been working great for me. The Linksys Wireless Router is behind the Cable Modem, and the VT1000, along with three PC's behind the router. I configured the router to forward ports exactly as described in the Vonage Installation & Troubleshooting Guide.a

I haven't yet tried to correlate performance against up/Download traffic yet. For the moment, I'm just enjoying the fact that it is stable, with no resets necessary.
