I've been using my Vonage connection for daily Tivo downloads for a year now and all of a sudden, I'm getting failed downloads. I have a Sony SVR-2000 series 1 tivo with the following settings: -set dial prefix *99 -using a DSL filter on the line -set bandwidth save to 50kbps -rebooted tivo and Vonage modem repeatedly -even bought an external modem from weaknees, thinking that my modem was failing. Everytime I get a "Failed. Call Interrupted." "Service unavailable" or even "cannot find modem" Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. |

Wow, this does sound like a TiVo problem and not a Vonage problem, however:
Did you lock your external modem's speed to 14.4 or 9600? You will need to do this with your computer. Did you get the cannot find modem errors with the external modem?
Can you try your TiVo from a POTS line (neighbor, friend, relative, hacked payphone) to see if it works?
Have you posted on the TiVo Community forums? |
