when I try #096 or #019 for the dial prefix the line quickly goes to a fast busy signal and cuts off after awhile. When i remove this and leave just *99 it trys to connect but the modem keeps trying and trying.. Kinda wish I could get this working already. |

This worked first try for me.. HD-DVR HR10-250 used my area code and a local number set dialing prefix to ,#104, dial tone detection to off
takes about a minure for the unit to dial in but it worked first time and still does!
I am using the Vonage rtp300 connected to a d-link 604 router that verizon fios supplied.
Use Vonage for the phone , verizion for the network! |

Ok - I have the following network setup.
Belkin Pre-N Wireless Router VTECH IP 8100 Vonage Adapter w/2 VTECH Phones
What do I need to get my HD-250 PVRs up and running?
Will the Linksys RT31P2 work or should I use something else?
Thanks... donmarrow@gmail.com |

Just giving all interested an update: works in 248 area code.
Set Call Waiting Prefix: *99,,#019,,
dialed New York - worked changed back to my area code - worked THANK YOU! I was with Vonage for a couple of years. Upgraded to Directv HD DVR and after a month it stopped working. Vonage support was useless. Looked here and there was a solution. Thanks for posting MARTIS. |

I've spent a lot of time on this because I have not been able to order PPV with my remote since moving to Vonage. With the help of many on this forum I have been able to dial out to stop getting the warnings on my box. Turns out that DirecTV calls the receiver to download info from the chip (movies rented, etc). That call still fail... I still cannot order PPV from the remote.
Interesting that no one else is reporting this part of the problem in the forum.
If you have, and found a fix, I'd really like to know about it.

Seems like DirecTV requires a different call to send up PPV. I just got shut out of PPV orders tonight and the Rep said that my box hasn't made a call in 4 months! I went to the phone settings and it said last sucessful call was 15 minutes ago. So I guess TIVO and DTV have two different calls going on to manage guide versus pay per view. Anyone have a solution? |
