Same here... But another way to check your firmware status is via the router just go to
http://YOUR.ROUTER.IP.HERE/Voice_Info.htm
for example if your using the default router gateway its
http://192.168.15.1/Voice_Info.htm

I wish it was that easy.... I can't directly reach my
Vonage
box. It is behind a router.....
It goes:
Cable into house ------> Cable modem ------> Linksys router -------> PC's and
Vonage
box.
