Before I never had to dial *67 when calling certain people who have the Sprint privacy feature on their line. Now I do...what happened? Those certain people I wish not have my number.

I am not completely clear on what your question is however it appears as if the parties you are calling have switched from using "Privacy ID" to "Anonymous Call Rejection".

Privacy ID should never require you to disclose your number, according to Sprint's site ACR will never come into play when using "Privacy ID" because all anonymous calls will be intercepted by "Privacy ID" before ACR is invoked.

Did you see this change will multiple numbers simultaneously? What region/market are you calling?

I was calling a relative as always and never had to dial *67 because when I called their ACR would ask me to say my name for the party to pick up. Well now when I direct dial my number shows up on their end which I do not want disclosed so now I have to dial *67 which the ACR still kicks in. Before I never had to dial *67 to keep my number from showing. I contacted Vonage and their answer was either there is a new firmware or my ISP changed something on the modem. So I have no clue what caused my number to now show up when I called this person who has ACR and has had this service thru Sprint for the last 3 years. Using *67 is not a big deal but would prefer not to but there are certain people I do not want having my home number.

I, like you, would like the option to always have my Caller ID information blocked - specifically, by default.

However, as a new subscriber (early June), I understood the feature called "Caller ID Block" is disabled by default, and we have to dial *67 prior to any call that we wish to block our Caller ID information.

You have been a subscriber since January. Are you stating that Caller ID Block was enabled for you originally, and has since been disabled to conform with the current feature?

Since I had joined any Sprint user who has the ACR when I called them I did not need to dial *67. For about 2 weeks now I have to dial *67 for those who have that feature if I choose not to have my number appear.

I recommend you read the information below, and ask Vonage if your settings have changed since your initial subscription:
