One other thing to keep in mind...

If you would like to access the GP2's configuration from your existing network you will need to enable remote configuration on the GP2. If you do not do this you will only be able to acces the GP2's configuration pages when you are connected to one of the LAN ports on the GP2.

I hope this makes sense. Very Happy

Also, what, exactly, is not working? When you say that your device is not working do you mean that the phone light never comes on?

Thanks to all of you for your help.

I went back to ground zero, followed your posts and have a working connection. I guess I was messing with the wrong IP addresses. Got a DHCP address from the main router this time.After a 20 minute phone wait at Vonage, I got the wrt54gp2 activated and have a dial tone.

The only remaining mystery is a minor one. I disabled wireless o the wr54tgp2 since I have that from the main router. However it still shows up as an avaiable network. No big deal to work around, just puzzling.

if you are sure that you disabled the wireless capability of your wrt54gp2, perhaps you are seeing the signal of your neighbor's linksys router Lol

Yeah, give the -GP2 a unique wireless SSID, and check whether your computer really is seeing that router.

if you will try to call linksys tech support and they troubleshoot your wireless connection, i believe they are gonna ask you to change your ssid from linksys to linksky Lol those guys are really funny
