Lucky you. My request was submitted in May, it's now getting to the end of July, and still no joy. Vonage is blaming MCI...

I gotta tell you....

Having waited all this time for no reason (my porting didn't go through,) I think people should only try and port if it is absolutely 100% necessary, like a business or something where you'd have to change letterhead and business cards.

It's all such a headache, you really are better off just giving people a new number.

Mine went really smoothly porting from Qwest in Denver.

Qwest called me to determine why I was leaving them, and I told them I was 'moving to Vonage.'

Qwest replied "Have a nice trip."

True story.

Very Happy

Would Qwest service in IA be any different ?? I called today to start the process of porting over my 515 DSM number to an existing Vonage account and the Vonage rep stated that the number was not "portable" ??
