Vonage and Linksys are offering a free router that combines wireless and Voip in one package but only for new customers. Customers like me who have been with Vonage over two years get the short end of the stick and are not eligible for this program. I emailed Vonage complaining of this system and wouldn't you know it, they never responded back. They decided to ignore me. This sounds like something the cellular companies would do, but wait. The cellular companies atleast let you trade in the old technology phones for the new advanced phones every two years. Not Vonage, once you sign up you are just another sucker. Thanks Vonage for not being there. |

This is an incentive program what do you expect.
I believe you will still be able to recieve either one or both $20 Mail-in Rebate directly from the Retailer $10 Mail-in Rebate directly from Linksys If you bought the new router but I could be wrong.
But you are not entilted to the $50 that would make the final price of the router 0.
Hey at least you have a great service at a great price and im sure it saved you lots on your phone bill compared to your old provider. So you could always put some of your savings tward the new router |

I suppose you also want your money back for the many months that you paid a higher price for service than what people pay now.
Let me ask you this: If Vonage weren't offering this deal to new customers, would you still be upset with Vonage? So because someone else is getting something that you're not, you are complaining. Be satisfied with what you purchased and don't be such a complainer just because someone else gets a toy you didn't get; you're sounding like a three-year-old. |

Ok, I guess.... I am a customer of my local cable company and I am charged $80.00 per month for the services they have been suppling to me for the last 4 years. But wait they are now offering a 6 month sign up deal where the new customers get the same services that I have now for $19.99 per month. In my understanding of what you are saying is that my cable company owes me the chance to get this deal even though I am a 4 year customer? NOT ON MY OR YOUR LIFE! How do you expect to own a company and make any money with people like you out there???? If you really want that wireless phone adapter/router do what the rest of us do and go purchase the doggone thing and apply for the rebates. Wow you never know.... you may just get a deal through Linksys that they will give you $XX.XX for sending them your old router. But no... you would rather complain here on this forum instead of checking out ALL of your options beforehand. Please, for all of our sakes... don't post unless there is a legitimate reason ie; real problems, questions, concerns ect...
I'll bet he/she wonders why taxes and such are so high??? With a GIMME, GIMME, GIMME attitude like that what should you expect...
Vonage has been a good company for us so far. They have managed to reduce my phone bill quite considerably and I have nothing but respect for someone that can and will do that for people! Including YOU! Try not to forget that! Thanks again Vonage!!! A Happy Customer. |

Actually a more fair comparison would be
You are a cable user who has had the service for 4 years, your current cable box gives you 100 channels.
Now the cable company has a new box that allows 110 channels and HDTV ability, but its only if you are a new customer, otherwise you have to buy a new box yourself. You dont want the 6 months free that the regular customers also get, you just want the new box so you can view your HD channels. |

The responses are hilarious. You guys are sure a bunch of saps. I was not even upset over this whole thing and look how bend out of shape you all got. You guys need to get out more often and get some. I simply changed to Lingo instead of Vonage and now things are fine. I look forward to the upcoming responses. |

Great - so with that said and your obvious attempt to start a flame war - I will just put an end to your trolling.
All of which is too bad, you had a valid discussion going on here.
Have a nice day |
