Yeah I got it. My router downloaded it automatically last night. It seems to fix a lot of bugs. The voice status tab now says Provisioning Succeeded and the QoS settings control panel is better. The router also now can be enabled to allow remote ssh access. |

I just received the new update 1.00.37. I had to call tech support and disable my wireless and disconnect from the lan.. before the update would go through. He said besides, the main update for the unit.. He sent over about 14 other updates for the Vonage side of the router. He said it should be 100 % by morning.... He also ajusted the packet size and a couple of other settings on their side. I was having major outgoing voice quality problems... As of right now... everything is working great. Also has a major update to the QOS menu. Allows much more control on which Apps (web, ftp, etc) and ports get High, MED, or Low Priority... So far so good... I was really discouraged in the beginning with this router... but I must say... they are actively fixing the issues (mine at least) as they appear, and unlike must companies... they admit when they are having problems and don't try to give you the run around.
Satisfied for now...

Does anyone know if linksys will be putting out another update after 1.00.37 anytime soon? I have the WRTP54G with 1.00.37 version of the firmware. The QoS works fine if I am doing one upload, but if I am doing multiple uploads the QoS does not work and the audio is choppy and delayed.
I get about 4Mb/s down and 45KB/s up. If I am doing a single upload at 45KB/s and receive a phone call, the speed drops to 30KB/s and everything works fine. If I am doing multiple uploads and receive a phone call, the audio quality is choppy and delayed. |

Where did you get this update for the WRTP54G? If I go to Linksys, the firmware downloads are "greyed out" and now available. Did you have to call Vonage?? I currently have firmware version 1.00.20 and it is so totally hosed up. I lose voice AND WAN many times. I have to reboot all the devices and sometimes that doesn't do it.
Thanks!

I have been unable to get this tftp'd .img file to load. I keep getting a CRC error. I am upgrading from 1.00.20 to 1.00.37, will this image work for that? It is a Linksys WRTP54G router.
tftp tftp.vonage.net get wrt-11.1.0-r016-1.00.37-r050624.img |

Looks to me like they pushed this firmware out to my box. On the plus side, Dynamic DNS appears to work now. On the minus, the only reason I know I was upgraded was my wife called to tell me she can't browse - DNS proxy is not working.
I will have to reboot my router (which I can't do at the moment) & pray that fixes things. Oh well, I was planning on putting another router so I can take Vonage on the road with me anyway (but these automatic updates can be a little disconcerting when they mysteriously cause new problems).
Update: Rebooted the router, seems to work fine. Now hopefully they can solve the echo problem soon. |
