Post subject: Call transfering (who pays?)
Hello,
If call someone (either local or long distance) and they would like me to transfer their call to a number that is out of our area code, does the party that I've transferred get billed from their carrier for the long distance charges?
Example:
I've called (636) xxx-xxxx and talked for a while...She wants to make a long distance call after we're done talking. I offer to transfer...
Press flash (etc.) #90 (212) xxx-xxxx, # and hang up.
She should be connected to the number I've dialed. Does that show up on her long distance bill? Or is it free since I have the unlimited plan? Or do I get billed for the long distance charges??
Thanks!

This has been answered in a thread titled
Call Transfer Question
.
The call is billed to your
Vonage
account. Note that
Vonage
says
in bold
that you are unable to transfer outgoing calls. However many people have reported being able to do it.
