WRT54GP2 is better being all the bugs have fixed. I have using it and seams no problems ... But i tried to switch to latest wrtp54g, which gave me lots of problems , so i just returned it ,..
I have not been able to fax anything, or more specifically use my TiVo dialing options (which I suppose uses some sort of fax protocol), since I installed the WRT54GP2. I am about ready to throw in the towel but I was trying to hold out and see if anyone at Vonage was going to address the problem.
Main Differences WRTP54G has 4 Ethernet ports as well as Color coded ports for setting up while WRT54GP2 has 2 Ethernet ports and no color coding.
As far as whats better, I have seen a few more issues with WRT54GP2 but nothing major. So i really don't think its a matter of which is better but whether or not you need 2 more ethernet ports and if you don't know how to plug cables in and need color coded ports.
