Folks:
Hanging in with the MTA between the modem and the first router. Had to reset on the second day -- but that was the day that the phone went down by the rest of the network stayed up.
The initial error we noted was we lost stutter tone when we went from cisco to moto. Rob and company worked on that today and we've not only got stutter, but we've got "new voice mail" indicators on both the motorola wireless and panasonic desktops. Very nice! (the panasonic still has no number on caller id, though; it did on the cisco.)
Everything else was rock solid until today. Today, however, I think was at least 80% comcast-related. Although they reported now "formal" outages in my area, they were all around me all day. It would trip the sytem and require a reboot.
The other thing, however, was i tried to fax from my fax line for the first time. My office line for some reason will not accept a fax from my Vonage line. Rich is working on it. We tried some setup changes for that port but it's throwing a routing error. I can fax my husband's office fine, just not my own!
We'll see what happens. Comcast is supposed to be migrating the Nashville area to 3 mb upload speeds the next two weeks. I wouldn't be surprised if that's what's going on here. (plus I saw my first charter.net ad in the paper today. Competition is always a good thing!!!)
So far, we're leaving the moto in front. Once Comcast gets through its issues, we'll see if it goes back to the rock steady of last week.
