see that broadband adapater would NOT work for me because I have my alarm panel downstairs in a crawl space, and my internet LAN wires are all upstairs coming directly out of my wireless internet router. Now if the nextalarm broadband adapter had a Wireless G connection then I could use it, I would just plug the alarm panel output phone cable into the broadband adapter, then the broadband adapter would WIRELESSLY transfer the signal to my upstairs internet router... |

You can (according to their web site - no personal experience yet) use a wireless bridge to do what your saying. The bridge receives/transmits wirelessly, but is hardwired Cat5 to the Broadband Adapter (or other ethernet devices), essentially making the Broadband Adapter a wireless device. |

I didn't buy their adapter.
The support guy who I talked to said that Voip is about 80-90% reliable. For me, that was good enough.
However, when you login to Nextalarm, they show the current status of your alarm "Armed" or "Disarmed" and it has never missed a beat.
So I am glad I didn't buy that $100 box from them. |

I have moved around quite a bit over the last ten years and have had security systems from different providers. I recently moved to North Carolina and got a security system from cpisecurity.com. I have to say that I am very pleased and this system is the best one I have had yet. Their customer service is great and although I spent a little more I felt like I was getting a quality product. Good protection means more to me than saving a few bucks. The 2 way speaker and real time response system was a real selling point to me. |

I just switched from Global Security Systems (http://www.globalsecuritysystems.net) a small Northern California alarm company to Alarm Relay and am very satisfied (and saved $$$ $22 per month!). Global Security Systems did some sleazy things like locking my equipment to prevent anyone else from monitoring it even though I paid for it. Avoid this sleazy two-bit outfit! |

I've been using MyAlarmMonitoring for two months and I like the service. $12.95 per month for a fully monitored system with no BS prepay garbage to hassle with. The service is basic and does what I need for cheap. |
