One Vonage telephone number at two locations

Another plea for help.

I am now living in two locations, Florida and Maryland. I am a new Vonage user with one telephone number. To date I have been transporting and connecting the telephone adapter between the two locations. Starting next week, I will be in Florida and my wife will remain in Maryland for a few weeks. We both will need access to Vonage. Is it possible to assign the same Vonage telephone number to two adapters and have that number ring in both locations? (I have computer systems in both locations)

i dont think you can but you could get another accouunt with the same area code and you could talk to your wife for free but you will have to get a new number

I travel between two different locations thru the week, and would love to be able to leave my Vonage router where it is and have another one at the other location... would be much easier Smile

however I haven't seen anything like that mentioned as of yet Sad

I guess I was hoping against hope. However, would I have to have another account with it's own telephone number or could I just order another telephone number with it's own telephone adapter/router on the same account configured with another IP address, etc.?

I would just order a 2nd line - maybe the 500 everything plan. Then just forward the numbers as you travel. Since there is no user-to-user/in-account charges, the forwarding will not cost you.

I would get a 2nd ATA under the minimum $12/month plan (same account). Then just give people one number and setup a hunt group (or use manual forward). You unlimited free in-account and user-to-user minutes.
