I am considering a softphone. I don't have the unlimited plan on my main line. I want the softphone to ring at the same time as my reg line (simulring). If I pick up the softphone, is this considered a forward from reg phone? If so is the call free anyway because it is dialing another Vonage phone?

I use simulring to pickup calls on my cell or at my office. When I do, it shows on my dashboard as a forwarded call. I do not have softphone nor do I have a second line so I can't help you with respect to whether the transferred call is free.
