866-362-2567 Call Focal yourself. I called them, explained my situation. In a display of *good* customer service, they handled it personally, and I have a confirmed transfer date of 6/13. I have been wresting with Vonage since January!!!
What a circus. Vonage doesn't have the first clue about customer service surrounding number portability. |

The one call I made to Focal was all I needed. They gave me a transfer date and the date was good. I am now an unhappy customer of Vonage. |

Why Focal is related to Vonage? |

Vonage is not a tellecommunications company like your local and long distance carriers... so, your local phone company is not required to cooperate with requests for number transfers as obligated by the FCC. Soooooo, Vonage hired focal, a telecommunications company, to be their third party transfer agent. The local tele companies are required to respond to Focal's requests for number transfers... They are actually the ones that do the magic.. that is why you need to call them. Vonage doesn't know anything... and your local company doesn't want to transfer. So get Focal in action and you are golden. |

I thought Vonage uses XO Communications for the LNP transfers. |

Vonage uses several CLEC's throughout the country, not just Focal or XO. |

That's correct. That's why I was confused with Focal stuff.
I am sure my LNP is going via XO. I appreciate if anybody could give me XO's customer support number. |
