I've had Vonage since 5/2/05 and the service has been great with no major problems, but number portability stinks. My LOA was sent and confirmed on 5/2/05 but as of today still no ported number. Calls to CS have been worthless and no real answer is given except"will contact the 3rd party handling the transfer and will get back to you. Well VONAGE ,my patients is wearing thin and the standard formed emails aren't cutting it anymore. If you plan to be a viable candidate in VOIP arena this will be your main draw back. I will forewarn any of my friends that if they do mind not having their phone# for a couple of months or more then the service is great.

Well, when you sign up to transfer your number it says it takes a minimum of 20 business days to complete. If you sent all your info in on May 2, today would be the 20th business day. I would call to see what the status is.

Done that ..Did that. " We will check and see and get back to you" via standard form letter which basically reiterated what the CS rep stated.

one month is nothing unfortunately. My 'tentative date' of yesterday failed to materialize as expected and Vonage has yet to answer my email. I'll have some time tonight to **** some more to them and possibly cancel my service. It is ridiculous that this process should take more than 3 months.
