I have recently started with Vonage and have not had any problems. I have a cable modem, connected to a VT1000v, connected to a ethernet port on a single PC running Windows 98SE. I do not have a router or other equipment.
My problem is in accessing a personal FTP server I have set up on my PC. The FTP server software gives my IP address as 192.168.101.100. Although a networking newbie, I realise that this is not my external IP address.
The question is: how do I configure my server, and how do I set up my client to access this server? Do I need to change any settings on the VT1000v or Windows networking?
