Ok, I've been waiting on the phone for 55 minutes now and not just on-hold, but waiting for it to be answered in the first place !!!!

I was calling to cancel ONE of my three Vonage lines because I don't need it, and not because I was unhappy. However, I think this is ridiculous ! How long has it taken others to get through?

Also, does anyone have any experiences with other Voip providers?

I would be more than happy to stay with Vonage with my two remaining lines, but NOT if I have to go through this each time. I would rather pay more and have a response when I need it. I've now wasted enough of my own time to have paid for the next 5 months of this one line I am trying to cancel, and they are now looking at losing all three lines instead !!!

Now up to 62 minutes and counting !!

Dconner,

No offense to you, as you are doing just what you were hired to do, but why does it take only 7 minutes to post the forum rules, yet I have now been on hold for 71 minutes?

Again, you are doing what you were hired for. However, maybe you could pass it up the chain that maybe the support people are a little unbalanced? More phone support and less forum police?

Reasonable rule though. I can research on my own. May even stay here since I've been pleased all along until I was forced to have to call because there is no way to cancel a line through my on-line login!

For today May 31, 2005, the longest wait for any queue has been 37 min since 12:00:01AM.

You must be dialing the wrong number.

Still waiting, so the number is still right here on my phone: 732-650-6699. Shall I take a picture of it?

Actually, I think I will do that anyway. Or, is that number posted wrong? There was an 800 number as well, then the "or" 732-650-6699. Since the Vonage calls are free, I assumed I was doing a favor by not utilizing the 800 number.

Going to get the picture now, with called number and call time both included.

Ok, double checked the website and the number is still listed. Compared it to the dialed number, and it is correct. Took a picture of the phone display with the dialed number and call time up to 173 minutes so far.

Sent an e-mail some time ago and have heard nothing there either.

Anything else I need to do? Am I to hang up and start all over?

A Vonage Employee has told you that something is wrong. You should dial the toll free number as it does not sound as if you are in the queue.

Correction: A Vonage employee told me I dialed the wrong number, NOT that something was wrong. I have confirmed the number is correct and taken pictures to prove it was correct. If they are having a problem with their number, then that employee can let me know it's no good, their website is wrong, or they can't even keep their own phones working.

In any case, I'm not hanging up until that employee tells me otherwise. And as you said, you are not an employee. Correct?
