Yes - I tried the 9600 baud, dsl filter, *99, turning ECM off - I even bought a NEW fax machine, thinking something is wrong with my machine, but..... I have been trying to fax to my co-worker's efax # and it will not work.

I "can" fax via Vonage to any other # (I can send and receive just fine) - but, I cannot fax to this efax #.

In case you're wondering, the efax # can send and receive other faxes too - just not from my Vonage line. I have talked to 2 different Vonage customer service reps and they could not help me. (they tested the line, it works: they sent me a fax, yes, it worked) So.... it is a problem between Vonage communicating with EFAX.

Make sense?

alot of my business associates have efax #'s because they are on the road alot and it is the nature of the business we are in - I got Vonage to send faxes OUT (because our documents have original signatures on them) to my collegues with efax and it does not work.

Repeat: You cannot send faxes to EFAX NUMBERS VIA Vonage.

Ok - I called Vonage again, and got my 3rd tech support rep and he was GREAT! Here's the answer: On May 19th (per Vonage), they did some type of system upgrade for TIVO users. Since I use my Vonage line for faxing only, the rep changed me back to the "old system" (prior to May 19th upgrade) and now, it works!!!! Very Happy

Why is it that when I fax to a normal fax number everything is ok, but when I fax to a efax number it doesnt work and I get the "NG-poor line condition" error message, I have talked to Vonage customer support which is like talking to the wall and getting nowhere, am I alone on this? Has anyone come up with a solution of some sort? Please let me know. Mad

Yes, I understand. See my posts above. I spent 3 hours and $150 worth of my cell phone minutes (went over my plan) talking to Vonage Support.

I talked to a Tier 3 Support Rep, named David Staab. He's the one that discovered that after Vonage did their "system upgrade", I lost all ability to fax. (Prior to the upgrade, I was just fine). My situation was just like yours - I was able to fax to any other standard fax line, except for e-fax #'s. So, David went into my account, and changed it back to the "old way" (prior to the upgrade) - and now, it works! (knock on wood). Word of caution: He did that, because I only use my Vonage line for faxing; I do not use that line for "talking" - reason why I'm warning you, is because when he made those changes, he said it would make my voice calls sound like an echo - but, I told him it did not matter because I don't use it for voice calls, anyway. I Hope this helps, and believe me, I truly understand your frustration! Been there, done that! Hated it!!!!

Thanks for the reply, thier customer support is non exsistant as far as Im concerned, I have a dedicated fax number strictly for faxing so I dont know why there are so many problems. Totally annoying!!!!!!!! Any tips anyone? Sad

I have the same issue and I'm told it's a line negociation issue and probably can't be resolved. I can fax to any where as well as rec'v faxes but I can not send to eFax. I also tried calling Vonage Tech. Support but those guys are as dumb as a bag of toe nails as they had no idea what I was talking about. I'm open to any ideas also but from reading the above posts it sounds like post system wide upgrade there really is no fix other than to hop Vonage makes a fix for this and applys to their next upgrade?
