Internet or Phone, both doesnt work !

Hello All,

I´m a new user from Vonage. I´ve installed my Motorola VT1000 on my ADSL connection. I´ve configured my Huawei (SmartAX MT800) "router" to bridge operation. On the LAN ip address i´ve set 192.168.102.2, the vt1000 address is 192.168.102.1 and my dynamic IP given by vt1000 is 192.168.102.100.

My problem is that we I connect the vt1000 to my "router" my phone line works but if I try to call to any number I recieve busy tone. And, my internet connection doesn work. After making the login on the CSP network I can open one page (any page), after that nothing opens. Ping to any address works.

If I disconnect the vt1000 and connect my PC to the "router" again everything works fine (not the phone, ofcourse).

I think there is some kind of packet size problem and I can´t find why the internet doesnt work and why I just receive busy to any phone number.

Any help ?

Hello,
I am quite possibly having a similar issue to yours. I have several computers, but one of them will not access the internet while a call is up using Vonage. Once I hang up, then I can access the internet. Both will not work at the same time. Other computers work fine. Please let me know if you resolved your issue.

On my case my box was not working !! It has a hardware defect. I've changed the box for an LinkSys and now works just find !!
