eschep, I apologize for the trouble you have experienced. If you could send me a private message with what you are experiencing and your acct#, I will look into this and see how I can get this fixed for you. I do not know if it would be fixed today since it is a holiday, but hopefully by tomorrow. I do check the forums periodically through out the day. I am here M-F 7 am to 4 pm e.s.t. |

Richl has solved the voicemail problem shortly after the original posting. Thank you very much!
I am still waiting for my existing number to be transferred. I do get email responses to my inquiries but so far I'm still paying for two phones with no indication of when the transfer might happen.
I can't believe that existing land line companies can string people along for so long.

I've been a customer of Vonage for 2 years now (I still have the original Cisco ATA-186) and I've very rarely ever encountered any problems with my service at all.
Here's a small tip to make your dealing with Vonage easier:
If you have issues with your physical device, call Vonage and direct your call towards tech support (I know its in India, but I did hear that they have improved it a lot), and that group there should most likely help you with resolving the issues with your physical device.
If you're having issues with a feature, such as Voicemail, or Call Forwarding, there is a way to go directly to a tech in New Jersey. When you call the Vonage toll-free number, direct your call towards any NON-technical queue, and ask the agent there to direct you towards tech support from there. They should be able to transfer you over to a tech in NJ that should help you with your issue. FYI: give the agent a short summary of the issue (about 30 seconds worth) and that will help them to direct your call towards the right group in tech support.
Also, starting July 7, they will start upgrading all customers Nation-wide to the E-911 system from the current PSAP system they currently use. I know the current system is very flawed, but blame the Bell companies for that one since they were the ones that blocked Vonage from getting the proper access. in the first place. |
