Post subject: No outgoing audio with comcast in Albuquerque
For 2 weeks most numbers I dial I cannot hear the person I am calling, they can hear me. I have looked at everything and
Vonage
says its comcast and comcast says its
vonage
. I looked at my cable modem and found errors and took corrective measures with no change in results. I was just hung up on by customer service by Samone who I had to wake up (she was snoring in the phone) Nice huh..... Well I am on rev d of the firmware and will call CS back but I will soon disconnect my
Vonage
if things don't change.

First things first, I'd plug the PAP2 directly into the cable modem, to be sure that your netgear router isn't causing the problem. You might have to turn off the SB4200 for a few minutes to get it to recognize a new device.

Cant the SB4200 is married to my router. Also the phone calls are fine on most out of area calls. So far it looks like a
Vonage
to Qwest and Alltel issue. I can call Bellsouth, Time Warner and Cingular with no problems. I can also call
Vonage
customers with no problems. All the same numbers have the same outcome repeatedly so it looks more like an exchange issue with certain companys. I worked with RK last night until 4 am or so and he put in a Level 3 request since my
Vonage
works with most calls. As soon as I hear anything I will post it.

BTW My
Vonage
worked for 3 months flawlessly so I feel comfortable saying its not my router. But for the sake of troubleshooting every setting was double checked the PAP2 was configured for static operation and even used DMZ with no changes.
Also I have a 24/7 system that can not be down for very long that uses the PIX 501 VPN tunnel. (It makes me money) I have not seen any issues with it and my router is configured similarly for that as well.
Hope you have enough info now.
