Post subject: Linksys router, irc dcc problem.
Install
Vonage
today. I also use mirc to do irc. I can receive a file via dcc but can't send. Any ideas?

you need to port forward the ports used for DCC to your computer. go into the linksys router's configuration screens.

Did that, with some help from a friend on irc we figured out that mirc was picking up the ip from the router, not my internal ip. Using the sommand "/say /localinfo -u" I was able to force mirc to use my internal ip address in local info and dcc worked.

Well, it's back to square one. Can't get dcc to work. I have the Linksys RT31P2. I've tried port forwarding. Done extensive searching on the net and still can't get dcc to owrk. Tried stopping Zoneslsrm Pro but that didn't help.
Any idea as to what I'm doing wriong?
