I just called support on this one. Didn't spend any time on hold and had a nice rep on the other line.
She informed me that the LOA showed the number I wanted to transfer but the bill that I faxed with the LOA showed a different number. I explained that the both phone line were billed on the same statement and that I more than likely didn't send the entire bill. She said that was OK and that she would issue a request to the phone company for status of release. For those waiting on transfer, it sounds like one thing that could be holding it up is something as simple as the phone numbers not matching on the LOA and the bill you send to
Vonage
.
My original submission was April 29. We'll see where this one goes over the next week or so.

As long as
Vonage
keeps giving my monthly for free, I can tolerate the transfer wait! I'm pushing 4 months!

My original submission was April 29. We'll see where this one goes over the next week or so.
I called
Vonage
CS a week ago and found out the problem. When I submitted the LNP, I submitted a copy of the phone bill for our other number that had already transferred to
Vonage
. The CS rep was nice and said it would not be a problem to make it go through. I called earlier this week when I saw no activity on the account. Again, really nice CS rep. She placed a request to see where the status was on the transfer. That night we got a call from SBC trying to get us to stay with them. Yesterday the carrier approved the transfer. If it happens like the first line I moved, we'll be on
Vonage
by tomorrow.
I originally gave
Vonage
the 20 some odd day time frame they tell you that is standard for a number to transfer. I then gave them a few more weeks because I was lazy. When I finally did call, within 8 days the number moved. Can't say I am disappointed since it seems like SBC was the culprit in the final move of the line. I was the other culprit for sitting on it for a few extra weeks.

I started this process on April 8th. Well, that's what the web page says. As of June 23rd, it appears that Verizon and
Vonage
are in a pi$$ing contest. Each blaming the other for not having this done. I don't know if it was my last phone call to
Vonage
Customer support, or my email to
mystory@vonage.com
and
jeffery.citron@vonage.com
, but now the Executive Response Team is supposed to be handling the issue. At one point today, I had
Vonage
and Verizon on a call and still wasn't getting acceptable answers as to why this is taking so long. I'm not even trying to be nice on the phone with any of these companies simply because customer service by both companies is no better than what I leave in my toilet. I am ready to get a new phone number and go with AT&T Callvantage just so I don't have to deal with either company. I'm even considering paying the early termination fees on my Verizon Wireless cell phones ($100/month for 2 phones) and switch that to someone else just so Verizon in any form isn't getting any money from me.
I wanted
Vonage
, Paetec (I think that is who is supposed to actually handle the lnp) and Verizon on the phone, but
Vonage
has yet to call me with that in place.
Guess if I don't hear anything by 6:30pm Friday June 24th, I'll have to switch to AT&T. Might not be better, but at least it isn't either of these 2 companies. For $5 more than
Vonage
and still much less than Verizon, it can't be all bad. Just have to get a new phone number. What a pain.

OK, I've taken the advice of the OP. The CSR was extremely nice, helpful, and answered on the first ring. It was her suggestion that I cancel the original request, and do the online thing. We'll see how it goes.

VantageGal isn't misleading you when she says it speeds up the process. They started May 1, anything before that date is manual, but since then the speed have increased tremdeously. We're seeing transfers that happen in 3 weeks, even some that have taken a week. No promises about yours, but the time frame has changed, suddenly a month has become an outrageous length of time.

I know it is not best to bring up old threads, but I think this one may be of some help to people as it was to me.
I got an email from
Vonage
today saying the transfer has been approved and should be completed tomorrow. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I forgot to mention, submitted (again) June 26. Completed, (hopefully) July 21.

I guess if waiting 2.5 months is "speeding up the process" then I agree with you. Submitted eLOA 5/1, xfer 7/15. Lost service for 24 hours.

I sure am pleased with the new eLOA process. I waited for four months on the manual process. I then cancelled and resubmitted through eLOA and my number was ported in 7 days!!!
