I think everyone realizes the need for ACR. I am sure Vonage does have it in the works, but as a general rule, don't go by anyones word unless you see it printed on the Vonage website. That way you can't really be let down if they miss a "supposed" date to offer it....

It will come. I still think that this technology is booming so fast and I am just pleased to have what I am getting at the price I am getting it for. I can't even get good cell service anywhere around my house but my Voip has given ZERO problems and I am just about over my first month. I still have no regrets.

In fact, I would dare say that the Voip bunch is advancing faster than cell phone technology did upon its release! So hang in there.

May be a little off subject, but I had this idea about something I wanted to do to a sales call. I wanted to gauge the time they would call and have a gun loaded with blanks sitting by the phone. When they call I would tell them to hang on. I would then start a fake argument with someone such as my wife. Have a little screaming in the background. Fire the gun. Drop something heavy on the floor. Then return to the call and ask, "Now where were we?" Think they would hang on?

Laugh a little and hang in there. More good to come.

I agree...Personally I do not get ANY anonymous calls on my Vonage created number, so to me this is a non-issue. I jsut feel bad for some of the other folks on here.

I am giving them to September 30th to provide it or I will be switching to VoicePulse. The only reason that I went to Vonage in the first place is because VP did not have my area at the time.

I have my POTS line forwarding all calls to my Vonage line. I still have my POTS line only because it has ACR. As soon as I can reliably verify that ACR works, I can get rid of my POTS line. I am spending over $30/month to keep a POTS line that I do not use at all.

How long have you been a customer?
And if you are waiting until September 30th I would make the switch now. Most likely it will not be here by that time.

Ive been a customer for about 8 months. All the while I held off
on switching to Packet8 (as they have ACR). Sept. 30 is my deadline. No more Vonage lies. The poeple I signed up for
Vonage are switching as well.

Second, whats up with people setting September 30th? Anytime I ever ask a CSR about it they say sometime in the future...
