Hi,
Anybody out there in the 248, 734 area codes????? I would like to talk with someone local about their experience with Vonage. Do you like it, what problems have you had with any of the local broadband ISPs ???
My email is tsorenson@wwnet.net
Contact me by email and give me your Vonage Ph#, or I will reply with my SBC # so you can call me. Its free if you place the call!!!!! LOL
Thanks - Todd |

Todd,
I got mine working yesterday, after struggling with configuration and networking (got comcast cable issue (have my own modem, which is approved), wireles router and Vonage come altogether). Woo Hoo!
I have 248 area code assigned, and with Comcast Cable (3Mbps download/256kbps upload), I was told that the call is clearer than my cell phone!
In case this reaches you faster, e-mail me to cyberkazoo@hotmail.com if you need more info.
Good luck!

I'm in 989, but have my Vonage service in 734. I use Charter with 2Mbps down and 256kbps up. So far so good. Sometimes call quality is bad and I'm glad to have a regular phone line to fall back to, but most of the time it's fine. |

I live in Livonia and have had Vonage since October '04 - with the Small Biz Unlimited plan, and I love it! It's a great buy, and even though I'm using the most expensive Vonage plan, I'm STILL paying less than my residential plan, especially when it came to long distance. The portability with the MTA makes things really easy too.
I have two friends of mine who use Vonage in the 248 Area code, one longer than me, the other I referred in December, and they both love it as well. Vonage rocks!

I am in the 586 area code (Sterling Heights) I have had Vonage for 3 months now with no major problems. I believe your internet connection is the key to success. I have Comcast's fastest internet service: 6Mbps down 768kbps up. The only complaint that I have is the DTMF tones generated by voices. Other than that, the service works as advertised. |
